Redeem Points in-store at checkout at participating in-store Partners

All other rewards must be redeemed online at bluerewards.ca. You cannot redeem over the phone.

If you don’t have enough Points for the reward you want, you can Buy Points in fixed denominations of 1,500, 3,000, 8,000 and 16,000 Points. Points can be purchased at buypoints.bluerewards.ca and will be deposited into your account within 2 business days.

 

For Travel (excluding cruises), you can use any amount of Points + credit card towards your travel booking.

To redeem for eGift Cards;

eGift Cards are online gift cards for popular brands that you can redeem your Points for.  You can use these gift cards online or in-store and they do not expire.  eGift Card redemptions start at 1,500 Points for $10* and you can redeem up to a maximum of $750 in a 24-hour period. Exceptions and terms apply for specific Partners.

We want to help you keep your Points safe and you can do this by locking in-store redemptions. This will ensure Points cannot be used for an in-store redemption until you unlock them. You can lock your account online or in the app.

 

• For online, visit bluerewards.ca > log in to your account > go to your profile and navigate to the “in-store redemption lock” section
• In the app go to account, scroll to "Manage Balance" and select "in-store redemption lock", toggle the "lock in-store redemption" button

 

You can still earn Points when in-store redemption is activated, but don't forget to unlock before redeeming in-store! 

At check out, show the cashier your Blue Rewards card and let them know you would like to use Points toward your purchase.

In most cases, you can expect your merchandise rewards to be shipped within 4 weeks, but shipping times will vary depending on the item redeemed. Multiple items within the same order may ship separately.

Promo codes are exclusive offers occasionally sent to a select group of program Members via email. A promo code is applied on the redemption check out screen prior to completing the redemption. 

 

A few things to know about promo codes:

• All promo codes are one-time use only.
• Promo codes expire, be sure to check the original promo code email to confirm active dates and time (all times listed are ET, unless otherwise listed).  An expired promo code will result in a "promo code not active or has expired" message.

For bookings on or after March 16, 2026, Blue Rewards does not charge a fee when cancelling or changing bookings, but all bookings and packages are subject to applicable supplier rates, charges and the supplier may have their own cancellation fees. For bookings made before March 16, 2026, Blue Rewards applies a flat fee for changes or cancellations.

  12+ days before departure: $50 per person

  0-7 days before departure: $ 250 per person (travel provider fees may also apply)

Members that obtained Onyx ® status do not pay booking change or cancellation fees on travel booked through Blue Rewards (Travel Provider change fees may apply).

 

All bookings and packages are subject to applicable supplier rates, charges and the provider may have their own cancellation fees. Please check the supplier cancellation policies for the products you purchased. Supplier rates apply to all Members regardless if the Member earned Gold or Onyx ® status.

If you paid using a credit card, your refund will be processed immediately but could take up to 30 days to appear in your account due to banking processing timelines.

If you paid for some or all of your booking using Points , your refund will be processed immediately but could take up to 5 business days for the Points to appear in your Member account.

• Typically, drivers must be between 21 and 75 years old, but this can vary depending on the car rental agency and rental country. You are responsible for checking with the travel supplier and extra changes may apply if the driver is below 30 or over 70.
• You can book extras for your car rental at time of booking. Please note that these requests are not guaranteed and it's best to contact the rental company directly.  Add-ons like a child seat, GPS, and additional insurance will be payable at the counter in local currency.
• If a one-way rental (returning a car to a different location) is available at time of booking you will see them in the search results along with any additional fees associated with this type of booking. One-way fees are payable at the counter in local currency. 

A few things to know about flight bookings:

• You can book regional and international flights to and from just about anywhere.
• Flight pricing is determined by the marketplace and will fluctuate. Blue Rewards does not determine the prices of flights.
• Base fares and taxes are determined by the airline. Blue Rewards does not determine base fares and taxes.
• You can book a flight up to 330 days in advance, subject to the availability of your chosen airline.

• You can use Points, a credit card, or a combination of payment options for your booking, noting that when booking cruises with Redtag, a minimum of 14,352 Points need to be redeemed
• A credit card may be required to cover taxes, fees, or for security purposes, even when paying with Points
• You can use Points to cover the cost of taxes and fees associated with your booking (excluding cruises and pay-at-property fees)
• Full payment is required at time of booking
• Blue Rewards Travel is Powered by Expedia for flights, stays, cars, things to do, and package bookings
• Blue Rewards is partnered with Redtag for cruise bookings
• Rates are determined by travel suppliers and subject to change without notice

Yes, travel insurance is offered on travel bookings made through Blue Rewards by a third-party insurance provider.

Blue Rewards does not offer travel insurance for cruise bookings. If you need insurance for a cruise booking, please visit redtag.ca 

 

A few things to know about insurance on travel booked through Blue Rewards :

• If you book multiple travel products through Blue Rewards, you can insure them under one policy. Conditions, limitations, and exclusions apply.
• If you need to extend your stay, you can modify your travel insurance policy. Conditions, limitations, and exclusions apply
• If you are travelling with an infant between 31 days and 2 years old, an immediate family member, and listed on the confirmation for the insurance you purchased, the infant will be covered by your policy at no charge if you have purchased the Worldwide Comprehensive Plan or the Canada comprehensive plan.
• Travel Insurance only covers travel booked through Blue Rewards and cannot be applied to travel booked directly through another travel agent or website.
